Growing gender justice with purpose, hope and impact

Possibility Seeds is a Canadian social change consultancy dedicated to gender justice, equity, human rights and inclusion. We believe safer and more equitable workplaces, organizations and institutions are possible.

Seeds Planted

We believe Canadian university and college campuses can be free from sexual and gender-based violence. We are leading Courage to Act, a national multi-year initiative funded by the Government of Canada, to make post-secondary institutions safer. To date, we have engaged a network of 3,500+ GBV experts and advocates, and created 45+ resources.

WHAT WE DO

Positive change is often on the other side of difficult, complex conversations. Talking about sexual violence, harm and inequality can feel daunting, heavy and hard. Let us guide you.We embrace a strategic and practical approach focused on compassion, care and joy. We help you understand how words and actions can be like seeds, planted, grown and nurtured into new possibilities.

Where We Live, Work and Learn

Possibility Seeds lives, works and learns on and across the traditional territories of many Indigenous nations. In our work, we centre the truth that gender-based violence is one form of violence caused by colonialism. It continues to be used to this day to marginalize and dispossess Indigenous peoples from their culture, lands and waters. We are committed to taking an anti-colonial and inclusive approach to the work we engage with. We honour this responsibility by actively incorporating into our work the Truth and Reconciliation Commission of Canada: Calls to Action as well as the Calls for Justice within Reclaiming Power and Place: The Final Report of the National Inquiry into Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women and Girls.
